HAMILTON Khaki Navy Pioneer Limited Edition

Hamilton will introduce a new vintage style watch to commemorate the founding of Hamilton in 1892 with a limited edition release of……1892 pieces. Clever. This is clearly why I’m not smart enough to be in marketing. How do they come up with this stuff? And of course on the 110th anniversary of the brand which is even more significant than the 109th anniversary was.
1892 is a pretty big “limited” edition which somewhat dilutes its uniqueness. All kidding aside, it is a nice watch, designed to resemble a vintage marine chronometer. The effect is even better when the watch is placed in the hevea wood presentation box that comes with the watch converting it to a table clock.

Since it’s probably the coolest thing about the watch, here’s a closeup of the watch in the presentation box:

The watch is a whopping 46.5 millimeters, which in this case is appropriate. It has a hand-wind mechanical movement, non-glare sapphire crystal and fluted stainless steel case.
Lancaster, PA really? Is Swatch only doing this to mock us, or am I mistaken in my belief that the only things left in Lancaster Pennsylvania with the name Hamilton on them are contraband blenders owned by Amish people who enjoy knocking back an occasional smoothie behind closed doors.
